Who are we?
The mission of Cape Fear Running is to spread our passion for running and wellness through coaching services locally in Fayetteville and the surrounding areas, specifically helping the military runners reach their goals. This is a program created by the community for the community to bridge the gap in performance preparation instead of just winging it and hoping for better results. The program is welcome to anyone that needs help with their running needs regardless of running history and goals.
Program Description
Come train with us for your fastest 1 mile, 2 mile and or 5 mile Trial. Trained coaches will help you stay motivated, train and complete your designated distance faster than you have ever imagined before. This program is designed for people that are wanting to improve on their past 1 mile, 2 mile or 5 mile times or anyone interested in maintaining their fitness.
We will train all year round and along the way we will provide you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like yourself.
In person coached runs will be Tuesday at 6:30 pm at a track (to be determined) and Saturdays at 7:00 am at Cape Fear River Trail. If times and locations change, you will be notified by coach or via training calendar.
The CFR program for runners or athletes of all levels. Whether you are a beginner looking to improve your time or just looking to live a healthier lifestyle, CFR offers an individualized program to fit your needs. The biggest lesson we have learned in our combined 30+ years of running, is we all need a plan and we all need accountability!

Program Offerings
Monthly Coaching: CFR Coaching is available in person with 1 to 2 meetings weekly in person coaching. We are here to help you as much or as little as you need. To begin we would like to know your previous running history, injuries, personal records and goals. We will then proceed to design a personalized training program to match the goals you want to achieve. The program is designed to work with any timeline you need to work with hence the monthly commitment.
The ($129/month) plan gives you an individualized, weekly running schedule provided to you and 1 - 2 in person meeting ups per week. Here you can communicate with your coach via email, phone/text access for any adjustments to meet the demands of your life. We believe that the best training is the one that meets your life.
Coaching Consultation: Not sure if coaching is for you, try our consultation. Meet the coaches for one hour to have all your running questions answered, discuss training and any concerns you might have, and more. Price ($100 for an hour of consultation, does not include a training plan).
Pardon Ndhlovu
Pardon has over 20 years of competitive experience as an elite runner, and coach. He has coached athletes of all abilities from high school college, beginners that are just new to the sport to runners that have been doing it for a long time. His career highlights include competing at the 2016 Rio Olympics Games representing his native country of Zimbabwe in the marathon. He has competed at the highest level possible and continues to chase his best every day as a runner.
Paloma Lepley
Paloma has vast knowledge and experience in coaching athletes of all ages and experiences to PR’s from the mile to ultra marathons. She has worked at several running stores, where she has acquired a vast knowledge of all things running. She has also been part of several running groups throughout the US and has also started running groups in different locations.
